The Ombra dining chair and armchair embodies Lema’s discreet style and the bold approach of Piero Lissoni. Ombra’s metal structure is characterized by its great stylistic refinement and its bold lightness. Ombra’s shell is also available with black leather cover or entirely covered in leather with ultra-thin padding.
Problem
Total respect of the design concept, realization of a hooking system without visible fastening elements, craftsmanship and maximum precision.
Solution provided by F+M
For the Ombra project, Feltrin + Masarin has developed a specific hooking solution – to screw the body to the frame – without any visible mechanical element in total compliance with the design concept. An innovative system, designed specially for Ombra, which allows to assemble the body to the iron frame through bushing and threaded bar. In addition, the solid metal structure satisfies all the requirements of comfort and strength required by Lema and makes the seat light at the sight but resistant at the same time. Finally, handcrafted processes such as braze welding guarantee aesthetic excellence, craftsmanship and high quality.
