Tibu is the Magis stool with an extremely clean, essential and stylized design. Fun and playful shapes for an unconventional and out of the ordinary stool. Designed by Orbjorn Anderssen and Espen Voll, Tibu is available in a wide range of colors. An incredibly simple silhouette to adapt to any taste and decor, at home or in the contract world.
Problem
Total respect for the design concept. Bending and cutting of the tube in correspondence of the curve while maintaining the right mechanical tolerance. Construction of ad hoc equipment.
Solution provided by F+M
The Tibu stool required a careful study of the project and the construction of special machinery. Tibu’s central difficulty was to bend the footrest tube and cut it precisely to slide it to the center column. It was necessary to maintain a mechanical tolerance to avoid excessive stress of the material and its possible breakage. In order to maintain the extreme purity of the lines and respect the design concept, the height adjustment button has been hidden. Finally, the symmetry between the two discs (base and seat) gives the stool a perfect geometric harmony.
